So I tried this and I gotta say, while it’s impressive that they put this much time and effort into a free game, it really doesn’t live up to the Wing Commander franchise. Due to what I imagine were limitations on budget and technology (as this is essentially a Freespace 2 mod) the story segments are pretty awful. Also, while the ship combat does feel accurate, to a point, it also is far too complicated for its own good. As a mod/TC (dating myself here), this is pretty good. As a Wing Commander game, not so much.
